'UNDERSTANDING THE HISTORY OF THE EGYPTIAN SOLUTION' History is the study of important past events which have taken place in the past. History is very important because it helps us to remember the date, the time and the cirumstances in which an event had occurred. History gives us a connection of the past to the reality of the future. No wonder when most people remember the history of the past they tend to hold the future with care. The success therefore of our tomorrow depends on our ability to contain what had taken place in the past. The idea behind this write up is that the Egyptians have come to understand their History with an Egyptian solution. The focus here is that Nigerians have a lot to learn from how and why Egyptians always take their destiny in their own hands.This is a lesson for the Nigerian military to be professional and play a neutral role in democracyIt is also a lesson for the Nigerian Police not to use guns purchased by tax payers money to shoot innocent Nigerian when we protest against recklessness and political impunity in this country. It is also a lesson for the Nigerian politician to seat up and re-organise himself to deliver his promises which he promised his people before he was elected.While the idea of a military intervention in Egypt is very saddening, there is at least one thing Nigerians can learn from Egyptians - continuous vigilance! Any society that wants good governance must be ready to pay the priceOne of the greatest weakness of humanity is the inability to learn from history and this almost always results in avoidable tragedies. what is the solution to our country’s misrule?. the solution lies in our willingness to ensure that the right thing is done at every level. are we learning from what has been happening in some Arab African countries?.
