---------------------------------- WHY I REFUSED THE ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE ---------------------------------- At least at first.... I was dreading the day someone challenged me to do the Ice Bucket Challenge (IBC.) Then Paul Gillespie-Realtor had to open his big mouth. I truly believed that the IBC was a joke and that it wasnt helping anyone. It was just a new social media trend that had a bunch of people dumping cold water on their heads. I spent 20 minutes explaining to my wife the reason why I wasnt going to participate. My biggest reason was that no one was actually donating to charity. It was all a stunt to get folks to watch your video on Facebook. At the end of my rant she proceeded to tell me that the ALS Association had raised over $5 Million for ALS research this year vs. $32,000 at this time last year. WOW! I decided I would participate in the IBC and donate, freeze my rear end off, and challenge others to join in. *****My challenge goes out to thousands of people that have dumped a bucket of ice water over their heads but didnt donate to ALS research***** YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!! Dont post another video of yourself, dont call out anyone else.... Just make a donation. Follow through with your promise and the point of this challenge.
