---------- Housekeeping Post ----------- To all members, an update on group etiquette for for reasons of shared enjoyment. 1. Please be mindful of the topic of posts. This group is focused on the NWSL, but posts regarding the womens game at large are acceptable. The international womens scene is intertwined with the success of every domestic league and FIFA competitions. Posts about the Mens game are acceptable as long as they are framed in a way that relates them to the womens game or women players. The reason for this is that I am a member of many general soccer discussion groups and the women have a hard time competing for posts and attention, with the much more dominant and media hyped mens game. This is a place where the women do not have to compete for attention. 2. I generally post official match threads for each NWSL game on youtube (sometimes I miss one). However if I miss one, by kickoff or just before, or if a member would like to post an official match thread for another match, such as a FIFA sponsored match (U20, WWC, Friendlies, etc) please do so. Please check to make sure a thread hasnt already been posted, then start the post with ***** Official Match Thread ****** followed by the info on what match it is. This makes it easier for other members to spot it and contribute. The reason for doing this is two-fold. For starters it keeps all the comments about the game in the thread instead of having dozens of individual comments clogging up member feeds anytime there is a game being played. Secondly, and this is very important, it keeps the spoiler effect at bay. If anyone posts a score update for a game as an original post, it will show up in members feeds and phones and possibly ruin it for people who were planning on watching the match later. If the match scores and comments are all kept in the official thread, it wont spoil it for anyone who is not reading that particular thread. 3. As an admin, I have a very light touch. Thankfully, this has been a very courteous and civil group since inception (way, way better than the MLS group I am a member of). Thank you. Usually I will let discussions play out till the members themselves find a peaceful resolution, and usually that works. I have only mentioned anything as admin, a couple times. Thank you some more. Please be mindful that it is easier to take things the wrong way in type, since the human factor is muted. ;) are good. Also it is really easy to get caught up in team passion and that is great. Just remember from a league standpoint and as a matter of the womens game globally, we really, and truly are all in this together! Thanks folks!
