Unlucky to finally concede. 7/10 Antonio Valencia :– Provided a lot of support for the attackers but his crosses were a constant disappointment. Hauled off early on. 5/10 Phil Jones:– A fairly solid performance that should do his confidence some good. Looking forward to see him being accompanied by a competent defensive partner. 6/10 Jonny Evans: – Completely at fault for the first goal, and nearly cost us a second with another silly mistake. Unacceptable level of performance for a second game in a row. 3/10 Ashley Young:– Worked really hard all over the pitch as he looked to get one of his old club. Put in a delightful cross for our equaliser. Improving with every game. 8/10 Michael Carrick:– Unable to influence the game from defence but added authority and creativity after being pushed up towards central midfield. 7/10 Darren Fletcher:– Unable to do any job effectively in the first half. Lost the ball numerous times, provided no creativity and little protection for the defence. Substituted at half time. 4/10 Wayne Rooney:– Played a wonderful ball to RvP who should’ve scored bt failed 2 contribute anything meaningful to our attack otherwise. Out of place in midfield. 5/10 Juan Mata:– Extremely quiet in the first half but grew into the game following the half time whistle. Still unable to provide that final killer ball, which is why why pay him what we do. 5/10 Radamel Falcao:– Improving his match fitness with a full 90 minutes may prove key with a hectic run of games approaching. Took his header beautifully. Chuffed from him. 8/10 Robin van Persie:– Had very little to work with when featured, but it was still surprising to see him being taken off. 5/10 Subs Tyler Blackett:– Settled in quickly and done all the basics well. 6/10 Angel Di Maria:– Ran at players but unable to create anything. Had two tame shots saved easily. 5/10 James Wilson:-Failed to add anything to our attack. 4/10 Other Louis van Gaal:-Persisting with the 352 formation for some odd reason that only he’d know, which is bizarre since it doesn’t appear to be working for us. Every time we fall behind, we end up reverting to a standard 442, which makes you wonder why we don’t.just start like that rather than wait to go a goal down. His subs were bizarre today too, I feel. Wilson added very little going forward and taking your most inform striker out when you need a goal is pretty strange too. Still, a draw isn’t the end of the world. Referee – Correctly sent off Agbonlahor for a shocking attempt at growing facial hair.
