-------In October last year and in Line with the Transformation Agenda of the Goodluck Osaigbovo Jonathan Administration, the Federal Executive Council approved the new Nigerian Automotive Industry Development Plan which is a long term plan that aims to attract new investment in the vehicle assembly operations in Nigeria and develop automotive local content. ------This will in turn boost our Economy in terms of Job creation,skills development,technology acquisition and foreign exchange savings and earning.As at Today,there are 10 Automotive Assembly Plants in Nigeria namely------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------------1) Stallion Nissan motors (Nissan) 2) Innoson vehicle manufactuing co(IVM) 3)PAN Nig Ltd(Peugeot) 4) Hyundai Motors (hyundai) 5)Proforce Ltd (Armoured cars and SUVs) 6)VON Automobile Ltd (Asok-leyland) 7)Leyland Busan motors (FAW).8)National Truck Manufacturers ( GWM,FOTON,T-KING,BAW) 9) Steyr Nig Ltd (Trucks,Tractors) 10) Zahav Automotive Nig Ltd (Zahav,JINBEI)---Toyota and a host of others are on their way.-------------------------------------------------------- -------------------Obviously,Our President has delivered on his promise to revamp the automotive industry in Nigeria,he has layed a great foundation that he hopes to build upon as time goes on.Nigerians can rest assured that by 2019,the successes of Nigeria in all sectors of the economy would be visible to the blind and audible to the deaf all over the world.God bless the President,God bless Nigeria. — with Nixon
