A very good defence for keeping a child away from school would be that it was not in the child’s best interests, even if the caveat was not included in the “law”. Why is divorce closely linked with Domestic Violence? Note that the definition of Domestic Violence includes “financial violence”, shouting, fear of violence, threat of violence. Most of these are in today’s UK government’s defnition of DV, just sent to me (via my MP) by the relevant Minister.
