The Argentine Football Association said Sabella will hold a news conference on Wednesday and, although it did not confirm his departure, local media are reporting that he is leaving. Sabella took over Argentina in 2011 following the departure of Diego Maradona. He led the team to the World Cup final against Germany earlier this month, where Argentina lost 1-0.
