- - Open Call For Submissions - - ShanghaiPRIDE Film Festival 2015 (ShPFF) Short Film Competition ShPFF is an exciting new platform for emerging filmmaking talent. As part of ShanghaiPRIDE, we will be screening some of the best in Chinese and international queer cinema. In 2015, we are PROUD to announce our new short films competition, in partnership with IRIS PRIZE (UK). Fiction, documentary and experimental short films up to 30 minutes are welcome. We seek films on LGBT Chinese experience. Coming out in Guangzhou, marrying in Toronto, transitioning in Seoul or falling in love in Paris. Our community stretches around the globe, from past to future. Tell us your stories. Filmmakers may be of any national or cultural identity, but submitted works must focus on Chinese LGBT narratives or characters. Chinese may be interpreted as national, cultural or ethnic identity. Submission is free. Selected films will screen as part of ShPFF 2015 and will be in with the chance of winning festival awards. Our top prize will be inclusion in IRIS PRIZE FESTIVAL, and the chance to win £25,000 towards your next production. For more details, or to submit your film, visit our website or email films@shanghaipride or follow facebook/shanghaipridefilmfestival ShanghaiPRIDE 12th-21st June, 2015 shpride/films
