----PT RAMP SERVICE AGENT AT LONDON CITY AIRPORT--- THIS IS A 6 MONTH CONTRACT - PART TIME HOURS ONLY - 21hrs p/w To meet the ground handling demands of our customer airlines. Maintain highest levels of health and safety standards and customer service standards in the work place. Main tasks of the job • Aircraft marshalling – the positioning of aircraft onto stand using a series of hand signals. • Aircraft chocks – the placement of aircraft chocks in front of and behind nose wheel. • Ground power supply – ensure the correct voltage power supply to the aircraft from both fixed and mobile ground power units. • Baggage handling – ensure all baggage is documented in accordance with security procedures. • Aircraft loading – ensure that all items loaded onto aircraft are loaded securely in accordance with loading instructions. • Aircraft start-up – to ensure that the correct hand signals and ground to flight deck start-up procedures are followed. • Snow clearance – ensuring all requests for the removal of snow and ice within the airport grounds are carried out as instructed by the duty Team Leader or his or her deputy. Additional duties – carry out any additional duties as instructed or requested by the Team Leader on duty or his/her deputy. • To assist with various ad hoc duties as reasonably required from time to time • Pay due care and attention to health and safety procedures and recommendations both on and off site to ensure the safety of yourself and others. • Ensure health and safety legislative requirements are met such as DSE assessment and health & safety awareness. • Not to undertake any tasks or functions that will endanger self or others and shall ensure that any unsafe acts that are witnessed are challenged immediately. • Ensure any hazards or unsafe acts are reported through the Accident and Safety reporting scheme and to the relevant managers. • To undertake any training required as relevant to job role REQUIRMENTS: Previous Manual Handling experience. Full UK/EU Driving Licence, held for a minimum of 6 months. Strong team player. Excellent written & oral communication skills. Ability to work flexible part time hours on 13 week rolling roster.
