-- Arlington Cemetery, JFK, Eisenhower & Robert E. Lee & George Washington -- C-SPAN just aired the 50th Memorial service of John F. Kennedys assassination in Dallas. Before and after the touching ceremony, they aired a live telecast of his grave with the eternal flame at Arlington National Cemetery. Few realize that the grounds of Arlington Cemetery is the confiscated property of Southern General Robert E. Lee. The Federal Army took possession of Lees property shortly after Lee and his wife Mary - the great-granddaughter of Martha Washington - vacated it at the end of April 1861. When great numbers of Union dead were brought back from the First Battle of Bull Run, Union General McDonald decided to bury some in Mary Custis Lees rose garden. Lees father-in-law was George Washington Custis who was George Washingtons step-grandson and adopted son. Arlington House - still on the top of the hill with its beautiful view of Washington DC - was built as a memorial to George Washington by his adopted son Washy. Before the Civil War, it contained more GW memorabilia than Mt. Vernon! Today, Arlington House is a memorial to Virginia General Robert E. Lee who from a boy, constantly emulated George Washington. Science has now proven reincarnation. In perhaps historys most obvious example of a direct reincarnation, George Washington returned 7 years after his death on the Potomac in Virginias second most famous plantation as Robert E. Lee: born in Stratford House on the Potomac just 7 miles from Washingtons* birth place. Lees father Revolutionary War hero and Virginia General Light-Horse Harry Lee was perhaps Washingtons best friend and gave his famous eulogy of First in war, first in peace, first in the hearts of his countrymen.
