-- Jesus Family Tomb -- Jesus son of Joseph was buried in an ossuary in his family tomb in East Talpiot between Jerusalem and Bethlehem. It was discovered by the Knights Templar c. 1119 and rediscovered two days before Palm Sunday on Friday March 28, 1980. Theres a book The Jesus Family Tomb by Simcha Jacobovici and Charles Pellegrino (Harper San Francisco, 2007) that was made into a Discovery Channel documentary and DVD with the same name that aired around Easter of 2007. The Jesus Family Tomb and its 10/11 ossuaries is perhaps the BIGGEST archaeological find ever! But because of the wrong interpretation that Jesus ascended into heaven means that he literally was transported into the heavens and the added myth that he will return in the same body he left in almost 2,000 years ago, this great discovery has been ignored or attacked as bogus. Its been proven that Yshua bar Yosef was buried there. The question is when? The book/documentary doesnt speculate on that, but theres an implication that the historic Yshua did not rise from the dead after his crucifixion on the 1st day of Passover Good Friday April 7, 30 AD / 7.4.783 AUC and his body then ended up in this tomb. Wrong! The Apostles all gave up the comfort of their Galilean lifestyles to travel great distances and be persecuted, tortured and executed because the Christ miraculously survived his execution! The whole encounter was probably well planned* for this accomplishment; he did spend a record low of three hours on the Cross. Medically, death is final. The historic Yshua bar Yosef appeared to die on the Cross, but he managed to live through it. In 1974, the term near-death-experience was coined. The Messiah spent 40 days in Jerusalem and Galilee while hiding from Jewish leaders and Roman soldiers. He left the Roman Empire to avoid any further persecution. Legend has it that he went to the British Isles with Joseph of Arimathea. If so, he died there and his body was returned to the tomb between Jerusalem and Bethlehem sometime before 70 AD when the Romans destroyed the Temple and scattered whatever Jews they didnt massacre. Theres another legend that Jesus escaped to Kashmir, was buried there and his tomb is well-known today (google that). But theres a stronger legend that the Apostle Thomas spread the Gospel in India and that it is he who is buried in Kashmir. .
