Kirsty Anna MacColl (10 October 1959 – 18 December 2000).--- I remember being in Kamloops ,with Bocephus King and his current band, of I believe Ford Pier, Keith Rose, Niko Friesen and Jeremy Holmes, when I heard the tragic news on the radio of the passing one of the most under-rated, talented and eclectic artists anywhere: Kirsty MacColl. She would do everything from Pop, Rockabilly, Latin, Country, Celtic, Dance, to even a little Funk and Hip Hop in a tune called Walking Down Madison. Shes best known ,internationally, for singing with Shane McGowan and The Pogues on the seasonal favourite Fairytale Of New York City.
