Every observer is equally entitled to make that claim, as they all see the expansion sending stuff flying away from them at a speed that increases with distance. - So, wheres the real centre? I mean, if everything exploded from one point, that point had to be somewhere, right? - Since spacetime itself is whats expanding, the question doesnt make sense. At the instant of the Big Bang, all places were the same place. So the centre of the expanding universe is either nowhere or everywhere, depending on whether youre a glass-half-full or glass-half-empty type. - I prefer to think that the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
