- ACCOMPLISHMENTS - BLESSINGS - CONNECTIONS - Monday morning I go to work and package with a Tyler, a coworker, who usually does sales at our other location in southern Vermont. I learned he wanted to teach science but is also interested in nutrition and the medical marijuana field. Other then him being interested in making his own music, I really connected with him because he had a similar approach to dealing with patients. He believes that many of them need some guidance through the experience we offer them. Another coworker of mine, who used to work at the OGE with Pensive and SK-1, shared that he studied sociology and had done some archeological work in the Caribbean which I found fascinating, as my cousin studies archeology. As I was leaving my morning job at 1, I got a call from my coworker at Burlington Kids, Katy, who asked for a ride to work. When I got back to my apartment I saw my aunt left me a small jar of pesto that she had made the night before so, lacking food in the fridge, I had an egg and pesto sandwhich before going to pick up Katy at the Barrio Bakery. I got there and she told me had fought for the last lavender tea cake for me and it was delicious. When we got to work I took a group of 1-2 graders to the YMCA for swimming and afterwards we were waiting for the bus outside and I saw a friend of mine named Tito from Champlain College who had come to oK meetings last spring. After work, I played basketball with my friend Ross, went to VCAM to submit a LoKi episode and pick up a camera, and on my way home going down Pine St. I was inspired by Arts Riot to get a drink. I ordered a Conhead from Zero Gravity, a beer I had tried over the weekend with my friend Samantha and I brought the camera in, asked the bartender if I could film and then went over to a table where a couple women were sitting. I recognized one of them as Lizzie from Bristol, who now works at Willowel and the other one introduced herself as Jenny, who I later learned is from Virginia and is up here pursuiing her masters in Community Development and Applied Economics. I interviewed them and then, with encouragement from Jenny, I interviewed one of the off duty bartenders who I had always been little intimidated by. She turned out to be very nice and introduced herself to me as Lil, short for Lilly. Planning to edit video and write my ABCs for the day, I got home and instead ended up making pesto with my aunt. During, she told me she had met with the older sister of a Waldorfian living in Burlington who is in the band Gnomedad and so I played her some of their music which led to me sharing some of OCs recent work. This led to me telling her about our song Conciousness which I then played for her after going through and explaing the lyrics and the album artwork for A World of Dreams, my project with OC. This led us to talk about dreams for sometime and we said goodnight at midnight and I went to bed, not having accomplished exactly what I set out to do but grateful for having the unexpected connections that I ended up with. -Liam Corcoran- Fellow Flowrs: https://facebook/video.php?v=10200485913409520
