-[ Discussion ]- . I would like to give my specific take on the Roller Coaster that the SEC Endured this Entire Season.... . When the Season started... We had a few decent matchups between SEC Schools and other quality opponents... Example.. Ole Miss playing Boise State, Alabama playing WVU, LSU playing Wisconsin and Arkansas playing Texas Tech.... AFTER the SEC West teams ALL won these matchups, PLUS Texas A&M beating South Carolina BADLY without Johnny Football ... I think a sense of Wow these teams are REALLY good! flew throughout the CFB Realm... Then a couple weeks of beating up on lower FBS and FCS teams helped place a Majority of the SEC WEST in Top 25... THEN CONFERENCE PLAY BEGAN. The SEC West teams beat the crap outta each other for the 7-8 week period. I also have to give props to Alabama because IMO they did exceeded my expectations due to the unsure state at QB. Sims proved himself. Then Bowl season came... The SEC West faced teams who most were hitting their Stride... Ohio State ( Hands down the most impressive with the QB injuries and remaining a power to get to the National Championship) TCU, Georgia Tech, Wisconsin.... now for Notre Dame... the answer all along was Zaire... . The SEC East beat up each other in the Regular Season.... BUT, had the Total Reverse effect from the West in Bowl Season.... SEC East teams hit their Strides in Bowl season after the totally dismal last week of the Regular season. BUT The SEC East ALSO beat IMO some tougher opponents than the West... But the general Opponents that the SEC WEST faced were MUCH Tougher. SEC West wins were over Texas and WVU... SEC East Wins were over Miami, Louisville, Minnesota, Iowa and ECU... . In Closing, do I think the SEC is overrated in Football? Not Quite... HOWEVER I do think the Media (ESPN, CBS, FOX etc.) Gave the view that the SEC was superior Force from the great start. But in the end these Analysts were eating a lot of their words. The SEC is a good Conference, but not an Overwhelmingly Superior Force. . Theres no doubt the winds of change is hitting the CFB World... The PAC12 and B1G are Moving in the right directions to give the SEC fits as being billed The Superior Conference . Agree?
