- Employment - This excellent video says 45% of present jobs will soon be automated (=45% unemployment). - That means theres big advantages in thinking about what we do about it, rather than it happening without community discussion and preparation. - Consolation viewpoint: I LOVE being retired (On very modest income Ive learned how to spend my time constantly enjoying internet interests, socializing, renovating, great exercise, ample rest whenever I want to, etc). - If we internationally arrange large numbers of people to be paid (from severance deals, and from govt pensions arising from huge prosperity from the technology), then people can retire contentedly, community happiness can skyrocket.
