--FOR THE LOVE OF ZERO-- I know this is long, but please take a minute to read it & share it! We at Cheshire Abbey are about to attempt our largest fundraiser yet... $7400.00. The Abbey in our name refers to a community of people coming together to help, as a ministry. Not only do we help stray, abused, and neglected dogs, we also help when something serious happens to peoples beloved pets & they are hit with a ton of medical expenses that they cannot possibly afford. Right now, we are wanting to help one of the best known dogs in our community... Zero Chane. As some of you already know, Zero is one of the only well known dogs we have in our community--- and he will ignore you for kicks! Its how he shows love! Anyway, if you are friends with Chane, you know Zero all of the sudden stopped walking the other day & had to be taken to MS State immediately. At first they couldnt figure out what was wrong, but after several exploratory attempts they found some gunky stuff on his spine between the 12th & 13th vertebrae, causing paraparesis. They finally went to surgery & Zero has been learning to use his back legs all over again. Here is where we want to help, and are asking the community to help, as well... Zeros vet bill has added up to $7400.00. The great news is, after three weeks, he got to come home today! Lets get real, that is amount is huge & none of us have an extra $7400 that we can all the sudden pull out of thin air these days for an unforeseen situation-- but with friend & community help, we can get this paid off & put behind Zeros daily worries. With all Chane has personally done for the people of our community, how hes made national news helping our streets, how he does all he can feeding & helping our stray animals & local rescues, successfully reviving Fondren After Five, and the list goes on & on, its time for us to give back to his main man, Zero. SO, if Chane has ever done anything for you or if youve adored the way Zero has ignored you for so many years, now is the best time ever to give back to them. Lets come together to raise some money for Zeros gargantuan medical bills and get him back in the shop very, very soon! We have decided the easiest way for us to go about doing this is through paypal- and to ask to reference Zero in the note section. We will be monitoring & posting the amount we have received daily, until we reach our goal (or as close as we can get)-- and will post initials & amounts next to the donations under this post, so people know it is going to Zeros fund. If anyone wants to give directly to Chane, or write a check, etc-- we will work with you on getting your donation to Zeros fund. Weve never set a goal like this before, but with all Zero & Chane mean to our community, we feel it is doable. Every bit will help.
