--Horizons-- What would Sagittarius A* be like, One cant help but wonder. There was once an event horizon, For which we used to shudder, A place where theres a vacuum Free of classical gravitation, Where a poor in-falling astronaut Suffers spaghettification-- A point of no return Where even light cannot escape Pulling you into singularity Leaving you in really bad shape. Along came Quantum Theory Of entangled particles, One of which becomes the mass Of that black horrid terminal, While the other just lucks out, A separation greatly appalled-- So much energy released Into a blazing firewall. One is not certain which Would bring a better death. But wait, there is hope. Let us start afresh With an apparent horizon (Yet to be peer reviewed) Where space-time fluctuates And our previous beliefs skewed. So the old view of boundary Is blurred and questioned. Can we cheat the black hole after all? Is to be discussed with discretion. January 26, 2014
