- Match Report - Richmond vs. Blaxland. The Rhinos started the match looking like world champions, they had learnt from their slow start last week and made the most of the opportunities given to them. The Rhinos were quick to score with their dynamic play. After a momentum shift and more possession to Blaxland the boys got a little bit tired and did not react quick enough to changeover ball, resulting in a Blaxland try. It was neck and neck for most of the match with Richmond demonstrating their counter-rucking prowess with Patrick Webber leading the way, however we often forgot to secure our own ball. Doug Kernan had quick delivery from ruck and the backs were spreading the ball well, exposing the spaces around the field. Strong running by Mitch Kocanda, Shane Warren and Patrick Webber kept us moving forward and keeping us within a whisper of Blaxland. To those who came and watched, witnessed an excellent spectacle of junior rugby, one in which the young Rhinos can hold their heads high. The coaches are exceptionally pleased with the development and improvement the boys have shown in their few games, and they will be difficult to beat next week if they show up like they did today. Final Score: Blaxland: 26 (4 tries) Rhinos: 17 (3 tries) Points: 3 - Shayne Galea 2 - Shane Warren 2 - Patrick Webber 1 - Doug Kernan 1 - Brendan Nunn 1 - Ben Sarkis 1 - Trevor Graham
