(-o-)(-o-)(-o-)(-o-)(-o-) HIGHLIGHTS FOR 2014 (-o-)(-o-)(-o-)(-o-)(-o-) - The incredibly exciting sold-out praise and worship concerts of the bands Passion and Hillsong United, which happened not once, but twice each, at the Araneta Coliseum. Imagine filling the Big Dome to the brim with people with that burning desire to lift up the name of Jesus and become His children! - My moms once-and-for-all recovery from her myoma. Congrats to the surgeons at FEU-NRMC for carefully and successfully plucking it out. - My music teaching stint with my sisters, although they didnt push through with their summer extension classes because they handled vacation Bible school. - The ARTism event at SM San Lazaro, where I performed for art enthusiasts. The mall may not have a DataBlitz, but Im grateful for playing at an autism awareness event headed by Mu Sigma Phi. Thank you for this chance Bea Eusebio, Johna Pauline Mandac, Jasmine Arcilla, Ria Imperial, Andrea Reyes, Kei Genuino, Ances Mulles, Erickah Dy, Carmela Miranda, Alissandra Ocampo...and lets not forget Aisen Cabujat! :D Thanks also to Josiah Samaniego for accompanying me in this event, - ...in the piano recitals of two batches of his students at his condo (thanks for the reunion Stefanie Quintin, and nice meeting you Regine Janna Choa and your brother) and at GSIS Museum (it was unbelievable knowing about Sarahs ability to play the piano), - ...at the UP Linguistics Department opening ceremony (my pleasure to perform, Elsie Marie Or, and thank you Chrioni for helping out), - ...and at the mansion of Auntie Mila How, where I made a comeback as one of her performers. Thanks also to Michelle Nicolasora for accompanying me in another performance there. - My speaking engagement about autism at the UP College of Engineering, and performance guesting at a Philippine Center for Gifted Education event at the Holiday Inn hotel next to Robinsons Galleria. Thank you Dr. Leticia Penano-Ho for the invite. - My first official year to play a Wii. Im glad to have bought most of my games on time, and so far Im enjoying them. - Pavilion IV, the dance recital of Michael Barry Que and Dingdong Selga, held at such a memorable place. Congratulations on a kick-butt production! XD - My silver birthday celebrated with Mikhail Lastrilla, Roan Opiso, Enrico Tuazon, Mayie Calvero, Pat Rodriguez, and Charley Magalit at a very uplifting restaurant, Shakeys. Thanks guys for the gathering! :))) - Panggo Sarreals recital, that had a jazz feel and allowed me to meet his sisters Agnes and Angelie at last. Ill miss you all! :3 - Bonding with Hace Herrero again after more than two-and-a-half years, at Bonifacio Global City. This may have happened for only a short time because of her work, but I was just thankful for seeing her again. - Super Selfie frenzy taking the world by storm, to the point that a mainstream R&B singer used this as an inspiration for her new music video. Congratulations on this great achievement, Gab Valenciano! 8-) This is very much linked to the ULTIMATE TREAT. WHICH IS... Elise Estrada mania sweeping the Philippines in late August! WOOHOO!!! ~^O^~ Holidays on that month (Quezon City Day, Ninoy Aquino Day, National Heroes Day) were the best times for her Metro Manila shows to be scheduled, so plenty of people could come and watch. Elise did an extremely excellent job painting our urban cities with her music, grooves, and love for Philippine culture and lifestyle. And sure enough, I had a party seeing her perform, whether live or through YouTube!! :)) As I saw photos of the concerts, I really want to give her a zillion heartfelt thanks for teaching me values of perseverance, determination, positive thinking, selflessness, and pride for my own country. She made going to malls more fun! =) The coolest year for me so far was 2014, when learning to love my country to the max got me all pumped up. And as we get set for 2015, Im looking forward to it in a really positive view, and hope the coming year will be as exciting, and filled with as many surprises, as the previous one! ^_^
