**** 1.26.15 - Topic Of the Day... Crazy Train My head is constantly swirling with ideas of songs, gear combinations, sounds... It is an all consuming illness. At the same time, it could be worse. I could have no passion or connection to my youth through the guitar. That would be a very sad day. Grown men get to act like boys whenever we get into gear chat. We connect on the memory and feeling of when we first picked up the beautiful instrument. Its truly a fountain of youth for us older players. The beauty is there is no end to it. You can ride this musical wave all the way to your last days on our planet. You cant do that playing football or most sports for that matter! Playing guitar is getting to be a 12 year old kid that loves football and plays it forever without getting older. Youve been blessed to have a true love that will last your lifetime, if you are a player. I pity people that lack real passion... Do I have a mental illness?? Probably... But who doesnt? So what if I write a question and topic pretty much everyday to people I dont know, outside of this forum. What I think is cool is, by reading others posts, I kinda feel like I do. Its a fun trip and I appreciate you all participating even when I go off rails of the guitar/gear train. This page really makes me want to record some new music just so you guys could hear the influence you all have on me.
