The figures show that, over the past 5 years, Scotland has generated 9.5% of UK taxes but received just 9.3% of UK spending. Whereas Scotland ran a current budget surplus in 2005-06, 2006-07 and 2008-09, the UK last ran a current budget surplus in 2001-02. Furthermore, Scotland has generated more tax per head than the UK as a whole for every single one of the last 33 years. AND: 2. that the currency union statement by Osborne was a lie (March). 3. that the ONS, from which states Scotlands (Keynesian) economic position (2013) (Revenue is 114% with oil); figures differ greatly from that in GERS, OBR, and disregards the IFS projections based on OBR/GERS figures. Margaret Hodge (April, 2014) chair of the PAC, doubted the veracity of government figures by saying it was hard to understand why the government debt and deficit highlighted in the whole government accounts differ from those reported in the ONS’s national accounts. Is the OBR a lying mechanism, to appear as an official basis from which to propagate facts? 4. OBR was set up by Cameron (2010), and figures for IFS, GERS, and OIL come from the same quarters and people (Westminster); 5. OIL: after calculations has 160 years of drilling in identified fields.
