#1449 So I have something I need to get off my chest.This is probably the worst proposal youll ever hear. My family or his family/friends dont know. Ive only talked to a few of my friends about it. A couple of years ago me and my boyfriend went to Banff for the night. We have a daughter she was 6 months old at the time, she stayed with grandma that night. We have been together for almost 10 years. We got to Banff and we decided to go out for a few drinks and have dinner. I had no idea he was going to purpose. He had always been a bad drunk. Anyways, we ended up playing pool at a bar and met another couple. My boyfriend went to the bar and bought a tray full of tequila shots. He likes to drink fast and hard. After that we went to the club and he wasnt paying any attention to me at all, he was at the bar talking with some guy, completely ignoring me. So I left and started to walk back to the hotel. He chased after me and I sat down on a bench. He then got down on one knee, totally wasted, and said you dont deserve this ring. At that point i as so mad I got up and kept walking to the hotel and not sure where he went but I didnt care. while I was at the hotel I found out later he had taken his time and started to walk back to the hotel himself. While he was walking he decided to throw the ring in the box into a bush on banff ave. When he finally got to the hotel room, he asked me where the ring was. I told him he didnt give it to me. He proceed to yell at me calling me numerous names and telling me he lost his grandmas ring/engagement ring. It was his grandmothers, she had passed away. we got into a huge argument and I was crying in the bathroom, when someone in the hotel called the cops. The cops came and took him away to jail for the night. The next morning, I felt bad because how would he tell his family he lost the ring? We went to almost every hotel on the strip and no luck, then he went to check the hostel and sure enough the guy at the front desk had it. Im still with him and we are married now but he never made it up to me. He made me lie to our families and I had to make up a fairytale story. I feel so stupid and I have a hard time getting over it.
