#17: Me Talk Pretty One Day, by David Sedaris This collection of essays was published in 2000, and generally focuses on the way David communicates, especially with his father (the book is actually dedicated to his father). For myself, the best essays detailed Davids struggles with learning French once he and his partner move to Paris, mainly because Ive had experience with second language, both as a student and teacher, and hes pretty well spot-on about the challenges. However, this isnt my favourite collection; my moneys on When You Are Engulfed in Flames (which also details with the complexities of learning another language, strangely enough).
