$2000 GOAL ACHIEVED!! Okay, so I know I said my last post about this was the LAST post, but I just wanted to get this out there before I close up shop! The Adoption Rights Alliance has so far been funded by volunteers offering support, knowledge, and legal advice to Irish women like Philomena Lee who had their children stolen from them through a morally corrupt forced adoption policy administered by the Irish Roman Catholic Church during the 20th Century at the notorious Magdalene Laundries (the last one wasnt closed down until 1996!). That’s not to say that many of the families at the time who sent their daughters who became pregnant out of wedlock to these asylums were not complicit in this in some way, because they were. But lets dwell on the positives - all of the money raised for the Philomena Project will go directly to Adoption Right Alliance to cover at least some of the ongoing costs involved in providing such a worthy service to these tragically afflicted women, not to mention their children equally affected by the system. After speaking with the Adoption Rights Alliance I have decided to keep my Crowdrise page active in the future and will keep the link to it in my YouTube video description. Hopefully this will allow for it to remain an ongoing source of income for the charity. (Plus, I still have the small task of adding the amount raised from single sales when it all comes through in a few months’ time!)
