**2014 LA SENATE NUGGET** ALWAYS vote with your conscience and your heart, YOU will never be wrong. In todays world polls and/or polling has truly become a science, an art if you will. So much needs to be done to dissect polls to truly get an accurate snapshot of the results. In the end, and by design, the public simply sees the results of external polling. Ill concede that most legitimate polls are fairly accurate, however, Id like to leave you with the following; 1) Polls are also persuaders, they tend to sway the vote of folks who are undecided and sometimes sway voters to abandon their original candidate for fear of voting for the wrong person. I liken this to a sports scenario, the Super Bowl. Every year odds makers place odds on which team will win the Super Bowl, and folks invest in what theyre told by these odds makers. Most have a favorite, but theyre swayed or convinced to bet differently based on published numbers. Its the same here, many folks get swayed to abandon their choice because it looks like their original choice might not win. Im not saying everyone does this, but it happens far too often. So yes, I believe polls can predict their own success. 2) Finally, remember this, the ONLY time Ted Cruz EVER lead was in the most important poll, the ballot box.
