*** 2014 Royals of the Hill + Womens Global Event *** Todays event was one for the ages. Another #pfds event at yet another featured course for next years World Championships. Big thanks to TD Lori Merriman for putting together a great event not only for the male players, but for all of the women that braved the weather for the WGE! 8 women came out and played and had a great time!! Also another big thanks goes out to Anhyzer Designs for hooking up custom towels and shirts for the players!!! First/Second round action saw all players playing from the same teepad (White) and all pin locations were set as to make the event more friendly for all of the newcomers. Players posted scores in the low 50s and 60s in all divisions...Pros and Novice alike... After the lunch break, players were treated to a nice heavy drenching of rain #wetdiscs...2 hours of it!!! Umbrellas were just something extra to carry on this day. Even though the course was saturated, Robin White still managed to throw the best round of the event with a 49 in the second round...in the rain no less...Way to go!!! The hot action of the event came in the Mens Intermediate Division and the No Ace Shootoff. A tie for 1st Place. Devon Reynolds and Thomas TJ Besser would go to a playoff to determine the winner. It only took one hole and an incredible shot from Devon (parked under #17 C-Pin for birdie) to seal the victory. Since there were no Aces on the day, all players that paid for the Ace Pot had a CTP to see who would get the cash...and the winner hit an Ace! TD Lori also had several CTP awards at several different holes. Which gave all the players something to shoot for and to look forward to :) Congratulations to all of the players for coming out to participate in this years Royals of the Hill and Womens Global Event!!!
