#2015TheJourneyToSelfLove Todays CANUARY talked about loving myself. Today, Megan Kain and I have begun the Journey to Self Love. A few months ago, I began this journey when I ended a friendship and dropped the Journey when I regained that friendship. At that point, I placed others before me. If youve been on an airplane, you know the rules of safety of any journey is to place your own oxygen mask on first before you help others with their masks. However, many of us, myself included, tend to place oxygen masks on others and tend to forget about our own. Thus, we suffocate ourselves in service to others. Some may call it a noble service. I, on the other hand, think its a disservice not only to yourself but to others as well. When we do not provide service to ourselves, the Journey is cut short, we may regret helping the others, and more so, we cannot truly give 100% of ourselves in service to anyone. Thus, when the oxygen mask in the Journey of life falls, place your own on first so you live and can give 100% of yourself to those you love. Megan and I will be placing our oxygen masks on first and willing to support whoever wants to join the Journey to Self Love. Love myself and all of you!
