#2238 half way through , almost one more year to go for my internship. Oh looking back how much , we interns have suffered. I dont know what has happen to ppl like they forgot we are humans?? Issok I know we are trying to achieve targets but just think, we are interns we are supposed to work not more than 7 hrs a day. Fine I agree its a big 4.. ok max 9 hours? fair enough? EY INDIA should understand that we are not their personal slaves. Even we have families, we have to study for finals and many of us have just joined after school, and at this young age we are working the hell out. I understand its also cool but just think is it cool working for soo much time that too every day without proper breaks. Is it worth to break our dreams and life, spoil our health for this few thousands you pay.OKOK now u will tell me we learn.. I feel 9 hrs is enough for learning, too much of everything is bad.. whole day we work still managers are so rude sometimes. One day late to office we get insulted by reminding us office time and policies, but what abt the same in the evening? Its been weeks since I have seen my friends, I go home everyday but have not spoken to my parents. My sis says I am not spending time with her. What can i say? just because I have to work more than I am required to? 6 Months just one movie, have got stressed after all this working also there is nothing good happening.. just next client....Please tell one thing EY wants to achieve vision 2020? great ! but do u think this is so possible if the ppl are not happy. First of all is it worth achieving the targets by destroying happiness of ppl? and u believe we can achieve this by building a better working world, are we really building one? I have seen EY has the best ppl with so much enthu, potential and intelligence. They are the main resources and if EY doesnt know to maintain their resources n keep them happy what is its future? If i look at the policies and the company as a whole EY is really awesome. It is only the indian entity with all these problems. That too it is mainly because of the top level people who take advantage for their benefit and the the majority which is the others who shut their mouth. I bet if The actual EY policies would have been followed ppl could be satisfied and the attrition rate could have been lower. Also the ppl who leave EY. OMG look at them they look soooo relived and soo happy like they started breathing after a long time. I have seen this expression in most of the x employees. building a better working world - really a good concept, but i think i learnt this far back in school - planning is waste unless it has been executed properly. I dont think it would be a big problem if the company takes some additional steps in solving the problems of their resources because of which it is alive. I really hope work life balance is considered, nothing big will happen if we hire additional ppl. also i have seen lack of planning and coordination in engagements also create delay due to which we end up reworking/overworking. ppl only talk abt reviews, engagements, resources, no efforts from the managers and above level is taken to talk to the ppl, motivate them. motivation is like a bath - u need it everyday. This thing can keep going on. I only wanted to share what ever I think. I just wanted to know if my point of view is not correct. Would love to hear views regarding this...... .. .... ..
