29th September were going home Today we have some wonderful news. The doctors and nurses are making plans for us to go home on 29th September. This will be truly amazing for all of us as we will also be moving into a lovely new home and I will be busy this weekend packing as Tia is not allowed to be around whilst moving. She will still have her central line in because there might be a slight possibility it may be needed. With Tia being a very complex case the doctor will be making some international calls about her T cells as they are the same as before. This is nothing for us to worry about at this stage as they wish to wait for the changes and there has not been any which is good news. The doctors say if they do change then they will cross that bridge when they come to it and say it will be a bad idea to alter them by introducing any medication to remove her T cells as this could upset things. With her T cells still present they could possibly reject and fight the donors but its unlikely. Further blood tests will be taken next week before we go home and it will depend what they are next week. But its very unlikely that there is any change. We are extremely happy with Tia and with all the doctors and nurses as we feel they have done wonders and they all have big hearts. We are also truly grateful for the donor and we would personally like to thank them. Everyone on the register is also a hero to us as they could possibly save a life one day and those who has been a donor I would like to thank you also. My words do seem a bit mixed up in this status as Im very very happy that we finally see light at the end of the tunnel and that we are going home. Thank you for following our family.
