(2nd time. first disappeared) Went to the Bariatric/weightloss - TopicsExpress

(2nd time. first disappeared) Went to the Bariatric/weightloss seminar tonight. It was so far to walk from the doors to the conference room!! Im talking seriously, really far. My mom had the gastric sleeve surgery done 16 months ago and she walked it. I got 1/2 way, my back seized up and my legs went numb. I had to lean and hold onto a waterfountain while a worker went and got a wheel chair. I was sooooo embarrassed. I was crying by the time I got to the room. When it was over, though, MOM PUSHED ME OUT OF THE HOSPITAL! All that way! Man, shes getting soooooo much better! I was proud of her!! She is my inspiration, for real. I want to get THAT much better!!!! I am big enough that I will have to lose some weight before I can have the surgery. If your BMI is over a certain number the room they have to actually work with their tools inside your stomach through the holes they insert the instruments in is restricted. The total wont be that much, though, so If I just start winding my eating down to what it will be after this...Ill get there. Dr. LeGrand made some comments about how you wake up one day and you are a totally different person and your life will be changed from there on out. That is such a hopeful picture. I cant wait!
