-3- MUSLIM REVERT UPDATE (GH) HAMDANIYYA REVERT PROGRAM “He who ALLAH loves with good, He gives him an understanding of the religion (ISLAM)” INTRODUCTION The revert program is an initiative to give reverts a head start in their newly found faith (Al Islam). The program would take the responsibility of introducing the religion to reverts in a structured piecemeal manner. The main aim being to present reverts with a better understanding of Islam so that they can remain steadfast and strong in the deen. OBJECTIVES a. The program shall aid reverts to adapt as quickly as possible to the basic nuances of the faith b. It would set out to guard revert against deviations in the religion. c. It would prepare them to seek knowledge of the deen beyond this program d. It would make accessible materials that reverts would need to strengthen the faith. e. It would build a database of reverts and periodically engage them on ways to stay strong and committed. f. Lastly, the program would open inter-faith dialogue sessions with the aim of promoting tolerance and mutual coexistence. A form will be made available for the reverts. The forms shall be principally for purposes of record and to gather some information, especially on their social and academic status. TIME, DAYS, VENUE It shall be a thrice weekly program which shall run for a six week period. During the 18 day period, reverts would be taught three main topics. (Aqeeda, Quran recital, Basic Fiqh- Jurisprudence) The program shall be held on TUESDAYS, THURSDAYS AND SATURDAYS, between 5 and 7 pm, Subject to any changes the venue shall be Hamdaniyya ICT Center, Alajo Accra.
