#30yearsin30days – Day 16 The aromatic raspberries I give to you my love Are to say, “I love you! I’ll provide for you my dove” The dove is a reminder to me of my lovely wife Like the faithful bird we will remain in love for life. The house we have is now too small for everything we do. Bunk beds only go so high; the kids are growing, too! The business now takes so much space we cannot turn around Maybe if we look right now a new house can be found. The search began in earnest in September ’99. Saturday mornings we would choose a place to dine. This weekly breakfast meal was a way for us to be Together, just the two of us, to choose which homes to see We looked to find a good Realtor in whom we could depend Lorna Enns was chosen and she soon became our friend We must have been her longest running clients; I’m pretty sure She must have wondered if we’d ever buy, but she endured. This began a journey that would last a year or three To find a house that meets all needs, oh where could it be? We searched each weekend and we wondered what God had in store? We looked from LA, to the Bay, and north to Oregon’s shore! The final answer to that search did not come for three years There were trials to go through that brought us so many tears When enemies wished I was dead, this kept us on our toes The Lord prepared a table in the presence of our foes (see Psalm 23:5). As we look back on this time it’s as black as it can be But we also know that black is what is used to see The brilliance of a diamond shining from the light above Each trial has brought to light the brilliance of our Father’s love. We stop today to catch our breath and give praise to the Lord For all the things He’s brought us through, He is to be adored My love for you, my wife, is shown in giving you some rest And thanking God for every day I have with you. I’m blessed! Deuteronomy 7:13 13 And He will love you and bless you and multiply you; He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your land, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flock, in the land of which He swore to your fathers to give you.
