# 4 WALKING IN GODS FAVOR PROVERBS 3: INSTRUCTION Proverbs 3 is full of wisdom and instruction. And we should read Proverbs daily as it sows wisdom in our spirit (heart) and soul (mind). Proverbs 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. When we are wise in our own eyes is when we tend to ignore or rationalize why we can allow a certain sin (or person) in our life. Why we can continue to do the thing that in our heart and mind we know we should not be doing. When we say God knows my heart but continue to live in sin. If we fear the Lord we will depart, separate from that sin. If we do not then we are setting our self up as a higher authority than God. Very dangerous place to be. However, if we have a habit or addiction God is patient and faithful and will help us daily as we strive toward obedience. He will be by our side, help us and nurture us until his will is accomplished. Our will is to be obedient and to please him.. And again, if we will not lean to our own understanding but trust in the Lord he is faithful and will deliver us from all unrighteousness. Proverbs 3:8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. Righteousness is Right Doing. It is that simple. Un-Rightousness is doing what is NOT Right Doing. To be Righteous before God, we choose to do right IN ALL THINGS that pertain to this life. To be Righteous before God will bring his favor, will bring Great Favor. We can not be Righteous in part. We can not say God bless you then whisper behind their back. We can not tithe at church and then cheat on our taxes. We can not take a job for wages then not do our work. We must be righteous, Right Doing in all things. And when we are weary, he will give us rest. And when we are lacking he will fill our need. And when we are lonely he will visit with us. Once we have a heart and mind to mold our will to please God, to serve him and walk in his righteousness then we will walk in his peace and in his favor daily. It is a good place to be.
