#441 of 500 things Ill miss about living in Thailand (in no particular order): Road Rules (or lack thereof) Driving in Chiang Mai leaves me with a perpetual case of road rage, which I never do anything about except offer a running commentary to myself about the insanity unfolding in front of me. Theres no law enforcement, really, and right of way is a hazy idea you can take immense liberties with. It may seem crazy that I might miss driving amidst Chiang Mais progressively worsening traffic, but after a few hours in Hanoi, Chiang Mais roads seem tame and civilized. Few people in Chiang Mai ever use their horns, either, as it is considered quite rude, which is the exact opposite of how people drive here in Hanoi. I will miss cutting off anyone and everyone, squeezing into spaces I have no business being in, driving into oncoming traffic in the wrong lane, and occasionally running red lights. Whats scary is I drive conservatively out here, compared to most.
