I probably wasnt the only one that inside was worried that in its consistency it saw something. However, I probably was one of a handful, maybe even less, that actually kept mentioning it and even put out a conservative map....SO WHY-O-WHY DIDNT I GO WITH MY GUT???? I honestly would have been a superstarrrrr. (now there is a bad movie) ****WITH THAT WRITTEN: FOLKS IT IS NO PICNIC OUT THERE**** BLIZZARD WARNINGS STAY UP FOR POINTS EAST OF NYC WINTER STORM WARNINGS FOR REST OF AREA VERY COLD AIR TEMPS, W/HIGH WINDS, FALLING SNOW, BLOWING SNOW, AND LOW WIND CHILLS WILL COMBINE TO MAKE IT ONE HECK OF A DANGEROUS DAY OUT THERE....ESPECIALLY THROUGH ABOUT MID-AFTERNOON. *****NEW ENGLAND FROM CT. RIVER ON EASTWARD IS SHUT-DOWN!***** ****CENTRAL AND EASTERN LI IS PRETTY MUCH SHUT-DOWN**** AGAIN MAYBE NOT AS BAD AS ADVERTISED (sorry) IN AND AROUND NYC, BUT STILL DO NOT THINK IT IS OK TO JUST HEAD OUT AND CHILL OUT THERE THIS MORNING....IT IS NOT! RUMORS: #1) There is no major storm coming Friday. This will be a major system in that it will be the front door to MAJOR ARCTIC COLD-yes again.....but most of the snow will stay north, although we will get some. #2) I am watching a potentially MAJOR HIT for early next week. (SUNDAY INTO MONDAY) Truth be told, I have been watching this system, on or around February 1st/2nd, for some time now as a potential storm. Truth be told, it looks like a classic winter storm shaping up. This is 5/6 days out.....we have time...... #3) I am giving myself a BIG BOLD F ON STORM SHILOH.....OK THAT MAY NOT BE A RUMOR.... BE BACK AROUND MIDDAY,,,,,, IMAGES: SNOW DEPTH BY END OF SHILOH....BTW: A LITTLE QUIZ FOR A STORMY DAY: ON THE SNOW DEPTH MAP THERE IS A WHITE DOT REPRESENTING OVER 80 OF SNOW ON THE GROUND! DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT GEOGRAPHIC LANDMARK STANDS WHERE THAT 80/WHITE GOLD MARK IS????
