#5 reason I love teaching kindergarten- I was comforting a child who had stepped in an ant pile while ushering the other 199 children into the building when said child (who had been holding the hem of my dress) lifted my dress up to my waist. A little girl walking by me said to another, "Hey-Ms. Farris has on pink panties just like me!" Instead of feeling embarrassed at such a moment, I got to feel loved. And a little proud.
