#546: John Crawford was murdered by police in an Ohio Wal-mart because he was holding a toy gun that the store sells. A customer in the store called police and told them that there was a man loading a gun and pointing it at small children in the store. Video surveillance shows that Crawford never once pointed the gun; he merely picked it up and held it in his hands. Police shot him immediately, without yelling out any warnings as they are supposed to. The caller who lied to 911 has not been arrested or charged even though it is a crime in Ohio to “cause false alarm.” The grand Jury decided not to indict the police officers.
