#6295: Im a sophomore science major. So far I am generally pleased with Binghamton (social life, etc.) However, I have been disappointed in the quality of my education. Of the 12 professors that I have had so far, none have been exceptional, and I would describe maybe 3 of them as good and definitely more than 5 of them as downright bad. The overwhelming majority of my professors have not communicated clearly, whether that be due to a language barrier, apparent ignorance of the subject matter, or simply not caring. Not to mention I have been tested on material that was either not covered in lecture or not in the textbook on numerous occasions. Although I get good grades the fact that I will have a degree in two years scares me because I feel that I wont be at an adequate level of knowledge to perform my career. I feel like I know nothing more now than I did when I came in. This is because the classes are set up in a way where you must cram in the most amount of information in the shortest amount of time possible. I think anyone who can actually understand concepts and remember them in this system must be a statistical outlier. Not trying to be a huge debbie downer, just trying to share my thoughts and what better place than Bing-U secrets. Sorry if grammar sucks, its 3am
