@700club @PatRobertsonTV Concerning #Inversions I both agree - TopicsExpress

@700club @PatRobertsonTV Concerning #Inversions I both agree and disagree. First Patriotism does not necessarily have anything to do with the law or legally right. And second, as I stated in past posts, the law is the law, and it is not up to businesses to rewrite law, nor their responsibility, and it is to be understood when they do every thing to take advantage of laws and do what is best for them. And Congress should in like turn do the same for American citizens. It is up to them to write, and amend laws to fit the needs of all America, whatever that may be, but both sides, and all should think honorably. It is up to Congress to do what is right for ALL of America and balance what we provide to companies, with what we need and deserve from them, because of what we provide. Look at the awesome and great benefits that every company gets from doing business here as compared to any other nation. Some say that the corporate tax rates need to be lowered to compete with other nations. But rather than addressing rates first, in priority we need to address Americas value and what we need, before we can rates, and rightly evaluate and set. That is business 101. This is a simple case of supply and demand. Conservatives especially are always quick to say we need one business minded to run the country, but sometimes you confuse being business friendly, as in buddies with business men, with actually being business minded. Ireland, for example, can afford to charge a lower rate. They need less because of their lesser size. It is not about competing with America. But in that smaller size, businesses are also receiving less from Ireland and their citizens, too. So these companies are getting all the profits and benefits from countries like America from sheer size and volume, and then better tax rates elsewhere. We must take that in account. That is on America, and government, not them. We should not just look at this in terms of rates and more or less money, but what other benefits does America offer companies and set laws accordingly. As I always say, #BigPicture. It is not about for or against anyone, but what is best. Businesses are looking at it that way. It is time for government also to look more at the bottom line. If businesses leave, or move headquarters for tax breaks/lower rates, then we must somehow ensure they dont get equal benefits as if they remained. This is not to say never look at lowering tax rates as possibility. But only to say, we must see the whole matter and do business, even the Government, on behalf of its citizens and for the General Welfare of all Americans, just like corporations do for themselves, owners, and shareholders, and justify. Consider. Yulanda K.
