#7068 I have just gotten out of an abusive relationship and I feel all alone because a part of being in an abusive relationship is having your boyfriend isolate you. My friends happily snapped up all the lies he fed them and isolated me and I couldnt break free from him for so long because I would be lonely. But now, I prefer the loneliness to the betrayal of my ex and my friends. Id rather sit alone in class and go through my college days alone than with them. Ill fake a smile and help them out if they need my help but I now know who I am to trust. This post is also to create awareness about abuse. Do you find your friends partner trying to turn you against her/him? Do you find your friend drifting away and cutting off ties? These are your warning signs. Save your friend before she/he either dies or has to save herself. (And when I mention death here, Im not exaggerating. Hes tried to kill me and Ive tried to kill myself too. So seriously, try being better friends nah?) Admin D: This confession really gave me an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach..I dont mean this in a bad way.. but what youve been through, nobody should ever go through it. Im hoping with all sincerity that youre feeling better and will fight through your past and break free. Yes, youre right, youre friends did leave you but dont lose hope in the rest of the people that still exist. You will always come across different types of ppl and some not what you expected them to be but it takes time to find the right ppl and trust me, you will..and when you do, you will know it. Dont give up on yourself and as far as i can boldly say, im glad youre out of that mess and from that crazy guy.. use this as freedom and try to prove to yourself that you do not need to be controlled by such isolation and that youre way stronger than this. I hope that you find the peace that you deserve and that you find the strength to fight back and take control of your life and make the most of it :)
