#7176 To avoid being labelled as a suck up, this is an anonymous letter of appreciation to the current Co-President, Marie Iskander of the Law Society. Marie is one of the few people in/elected to Law Society who genuinely does care, devoting countless hours, energy and emotion into creating what has been a much more student-friendly, practical and relevant Law Society. It is more student friendly because she has really has placed a good emphasis on the issue of mental health. It is more practical because she has fiercely ensured that the myth of superior corporate law careers is well on its way to being debunked, and relevant because she has closely supported the Public Interest Careers team to inform students of the multiple other career pathways out there. I am writing this letter because during election time, it is important that students remember to vote in individuals who are capable and worthy, as opposed to those they know but are unsure of in terms of qualification and passionate. (Yes this years Lawsoc cabinet elections are over and to be honest, I am quite disappointed in some of the results).
