(A) - JESUS CHRISTS HUMANITY – WAS HE 100 % HUMAN LIKE - TopicsExpress

(A) - JESUS CHRISTS HUMANITY – WAS HE 100 % HUMAN LIKE US???? Of course! Lets go through it slowly. After Adam and Eve sinned, they lost immortality. To be given immortality again, they needed a Savior, someone to save them from the penalty of sin which is eternal death. No angel could become their Savior. It has to be GOD Himself to become their substitute to die the eternal death which is the wages of sin - (Ezekiel 18:4, 20; Romans 6:23). JESUS, one of the three that make up the Godhead volunteered and became Adam and Eves sin bearer. Since JESUS was GOD also, He cannot become the substitute and die; WHY? Because GOD cannot die. Therefore, JESUS had to become human to enable Him to die as mans sin bearer at Calvary. Without becoming human, man cannot have a sin bearer. This is the most amazing loving act made by GOD Himself in the process to become human like Adam and Eve in the nature after their fall. (Think about this). When JESUS became human like us, He never ceased from being GOD. Mrs White says, “CHRIST had not ceased to be GOD when He became man. Though He had humbled to humanity, the Godhead was still His own. … He was GOD - in human flesh.” - (Desire of Ages, page 663-664). ….................... (B) - THE QUESTION IS: WHAT HUMAN NATURE DID JESUS TAKE UPON HIM DURING THE INCARNATION FOR 33 YEARS? We cannot fully understand the humanity of JESUS, unless we first understand the two (2) points listed below: Point # 1 – THE LAW CANNOT BE CHANGED In order for JESUS to become human and die at Calvary, this proves that GODS law cannot be changed. If the law could be changed, then it would not be necessary for JESUS to go through the process of incarnation and die at Calvary. Point # 2 – JESUS IN HUMANITY, MUST LIVE A SINLESS LIFE TO PROVE THAT THE LAW CAN BE KEPT BY ADAM AND EVE IN THEIR FALLEN SINFUL NATURE. Adam and Eve kept the law of GOD before their fall. Therefore, there was nothing to prove by JESUS that man could keep the law, in Adam and Eves human nature before the fall. (Dont miss this point). In humanity, JESUS must be mans example in the keeping of GODS law that was transgressed by Adam and Eve – (1 Peter 2:21-22). Therefore, JESUS must come in the fallen human nature of Adam and Eve to prove that Adam and Eve in their fallen sinful nature after repentance from sin, can keep GODS law through the power of GOD. (C ) - NOW, WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THE HUMAN NATURE THAT JESUS TOOK UP DURING HIS INCARNATION. JESUS took upon Him the fallen sinful nature of Adam and Eve and proved that the law of GOD can be kept perfectly by any human being through the power of GOD. Please read the Scriptures below which testifies to the humanity of JESUS. Philippians 2:5-8 says, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in CHRIST JESUS: Who, being in the form of GOD, thought it not robbery to be equal with GOD. But made himself of no reputation, AND TOOK UPON HIM THE FORM OF A SERVANT, AND WAS MADE IN THE LIKENESS OF MEN. And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” Romans 8:3-4 says, “For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, GOD SENDING HIS OWN SON IN THE LIKENESS OF SINFUL FLESH, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh.” Hebrews 2:14 & 16 says, “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He (JESUS) also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. (v16) For verily He (JESUS) took not on Him the nature of angels, but He took on Him the seed of Abraham.” (D) – DOES INHERITING THE FALLEN SINFUL NATURE FROM OUR PARENTS MAKE ANYONE A SINNER? …. No! No! No! … Dear folks, please understand that JESUS was born with the fallen sinful nature of Adam and Eve in which He inherited it through His mother Mary – (Matthew 1:21-23). But the fallen sinful nature did not make JESUS a natural sinner. The fallen sinful nature in itself is NOT sin. (E ) - WHAT WOULD HAVE MADE JESUS A SINNER? … Suppose JESUS yielded to Satans temptations, He would have transgressed the law, and that would have made Him a sinner – (Matthew 4:1-10). HE was tempted in all points as we are, yet never sinned – (Hebrews 4:15). Please understand that “sin is the transgression of the law” - (1 John 3:4). YOU are a sinner because you have transgressed the law and in need of a Savior. But Jesus did not transgress the law, yet He had the same fallen sinful nature as us. We thank JESUS for His faithfulness in keeping the law, despite His fallen sinful nature. YOU are not a sinner because you inherited the fallen sinful nature of Adam and Eve. No person inherited Adam and Eves sins – (Ezekiel 18:20). Thus, NO baby is born a sinner due to the fallen sinful nature. (F) - CONCLUSION We can repent from our sins committed, and allow JESUS to abide in us, and our fallen sinful nature will have no power to make us commit sin. The repentant sinner who continues to abide in Christ, cannot break GODS law nor commit sin – (1 John 3:6-9). JESUS has the power to keep the repentant sinner from falling – (Jude 1:24; 1 Corinthians 10:13). “I can do all things through CHRIST who strengthens me” - (Philippians 4:13). When we fail to understand the humanity of JESUS, we then fail to understand the plan of salvation through JESUS and its objective to prove that man can keep the law of God in this fallen sinful nature by divine power. Satan then is proven wrong by his false accusation that the law cannot be kept. Mrs. White says, “Satan represents Gods law of love as a law of selfishness. He declares that it is impossible for us to obey its precepts. The fall of our first parents, with all the woe that has resulted, he charges upon the Creator, leading men to look upon God as the author of sin, and suffering, and death. Jesus was to unveil this deception. AS ONE OF US HE WAS TO GIVE AN EXAMPLE OF OBEDIENCE. FOR THIS HE TOOK UPON HIMSELF OUR NATURE, AND PASSED THROUGH OUR EXPERIENCES. IN ALL THINGS IT BEHOOVED HIM TO BE MADE LIKE UNTO HIS BRETHREN. Heb. 2:17 …. HIS LIFE TESTIFIES THAT IT IS POSSIBLE FOR US ALSO TO OBEY THE LAW OF GOD. “ - (((Desire of Ages, page 24))). JESUS is our great example. He was born with a fallen sinful nature, and He was not a sinner by nature nor by birth. Therefore, no baby that is born with the fallen sinful nature like Jesus is born a sinner. Through JESUS CHRISTS power, after repentance, we can live a life without sin - as long as we keep abiding in Him. WARNING: The belief that says, We are sinners by nature or by birth is not of God; but from the devil and his agents. Praying that our desire is to abide in JESUS daily that we may overcome all temptations and sin not. GOD bless.
