****** A FORK IN THE ROAD ****** ********************************** ****** PRE-FACE ****** *********************** A Fork In The Road is a mission statement that I wrote while incarcerated. Someone who new I wrote poems gave me a book with just such writing inside. Along with poems it had some of these, what I call mission statements, and I was intrigued. After reading a couple, I thought, I wonder if I could write one. So I sat down, pulled out a blank piece of paper and just began to write the first words that came into my mind. When I began writing this I had no idea in what direction I planned on going. I did not know what message or idea I planned on trying to convey. Once I started writing it just flowed out and A Fork In The Road was born. I am pretty proud of it and I have not tried to write another since, but I feel I achieved the goal I had set out to do and to answer my own question yes I can write just this type of statements.
