~A Timely Warning~ When I came across several fb posts by my contacts, with the complaints that their fb accounts have been hacked, I became inquisitive and cautious. I asked one such regular complainant how and when it all began. At first he was unable to find the clue. But suddenly he remembered an incident which had happened months back. Someone had sent him a link , through fb chat box, in which his own name figured. Had it been an ordinary link,he wouldnt have cared to click on it. But the strongest weakness of a human is his own name. He bubbled with curiosity and enthusiasm to know what the link bearing his own name contained. Without giving a second thought to it he clicked on it, only to find a page staring mockingly at him with undecipherable abracadabra upon it. Since that day he found several posts appearing in his name in the Newsfeed, which he had never posted. He found his chat box filled with outgoing messages, which he had never written. On hearing the narration of my friends plight, I understood the tactics of the potential , cunning hackers and waited my turn. The day came at last. I received exactly one such link bearing my name. I must confess here I felt lured to click on it. I would have, had I not been sufficiently educated and warned through my unfortunate friends example. I shot back a strongly worded query-What is this? Why have you sent this to me? Explain or I shall delete it without opening. I may report it too. I got no answer to my query. I deleted it from my chat box, without opening the link.
