A WONDERFUL OBSERVATION As a media personal , i wad moving round the state capital today on inspection.among other things, one thing i discovered that is un way causing stress to imolites is the heavy presence of Traffic. From investigations and interview, i found out they the following are responsible 1. Security: People now leave Abuja, Abia, Enugu, Delta, Jos, Borno states respectively and come to imo state for safety. 2. Kidnappers: kidnapping has been reduced to bearest minimum or stamped out in the state. This is because the govt. Is concerned with the safety of the people 3. Tourism The rescue govt of imo state has been able to raise so many tourist sites in the state. An evening walk toward the main streets of owerri will make you think you walking in the streets of London or New York 4. Political stability Imo State is one of the few States in Nigeria that is politically stable.At such, the possibility of political violence is not there. The RULING party in the state is focused and matured with integrity and not ready to condescend so low to involve in any activity capable of breaching peace no matter the level of provocation.also the governor is mature and reasonable. 5. Roads The government has embarked on rural road construction making motoring possible. Some communities whose roads are not accessible and at such people were not encouraged to travel village have now travelled. 6. Stable society Imo state is a stable society. People are happy in the state and at such people come to identity with them. Can you go to borno now..? A motorist asked me. 7. Cost of living Imo State cost of living is affordable.this is because of the state government efforts to make quality food affordable through robust agricultural programmes. 8. Beatification of the capital city Through the commissioner for lands,survey and urban planning, hon.UCHE NWOSU , has been able to transform the landscape of the state to one of the best in the world. Of the truth, powerful govt delegates are being sent from within and outside the country to come and under study the concept of urban development. To this we say honourable UCHE NWOSU , weldon 9. Arm robbery In some state now, robbers have taken over the places unleasing mayhem to innocent citizens but not in imo state. This is because the youths who fall within and the vulnerable class are not idle. They have been engaged with source of income thereby making crimes like kidnapping,robbery, prostitution and other youth based crimes alien. 10. Light The govt having known that the people need electric light to be able to fully enjoy the yuletide celebration has been able add efforts to EEDC for improved power supply. Well, imolites we are known for hospitality, tolerance and good human relationship. Let us accommodate the visitors,protect them and support the government that has made us proud. IMO STATE IS BETTER!
