A new report confirms it - the right people are in Arizona - TopicsExpress

A new report confirms it - the right people are in Arizona prisons for the right reasons. ....The title is MISLEADING and WRONG! Prosecutors, NOT the police are responsible for the growth of the prison population - filing ever greater felonies. Its time to release the wrongfully convicted, non-violent, aging and dying offenders who present no harm to society, wasting hundreds of millions of scarce taxpayers dollars, that could be used for education, rehabilitation, job training and building stronger families and communities - rather than lining the pockets of the political cronies/profiteers. Disbarred ex-Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas and his chief charging prosecutor, ex-DCA Lisa Aubuchon bragged about their over 200,000 felony CASES (in one term in office (2005-2010)! Why havent the top prosecutors investigated those cases, for wrongful convictions and wrongful imprisonment of the ordinary people? Meanwhile, the judges, lawyers, elected officials and newspapers executives have all settled their lawsuits, who Thomas/Aubuchon falsely accused of RICO charges? Turning a blind eye and Ignoring these cases will not make them go away. It shows the character or lack thereof of who is in control. Arizonas draconian mandatory minimum sentencing that sentences a non-violent, first offender to 75 years in prison - a defacto life sentence is more tyranny, than fair justice. The state prosecutor fought against the people who wanted meaningful reform, who packed the House Sentencing Committee Hearings where House Rep. Cecil Ashs bills were passed, only to die in the Rules Committee. This is deceitful and not well-intentioned for the people. Study The EXONERATION REGISTRY. 1,510 exonerations! Innocent people who spent decades in prison for crimes they did not commit or never happened. The professional misconduct, false accusations and perjury stand out. Its long overdue for the Arizona Prosecutors Association to address wrongful convictions and right the wrongs!
