•ABS FC Celebrates First Away Win One of the two private owned clubs in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) ABS FC recorded their first win on the road and the 9th away win of the season. Nembe City continued from where they left it when they gained promotion from the lower division. A 1:2 win in Owerri against Heartland was what they used to announce their arrival to the apex league in the country. However, in the second week they lost 1:2 at home in Yenegoa to Enugu Rangers who came in to the country from an away draw in Burundi in the CAF Champions League. Nembe City FC, owned by former NPFL chairman, Victor Baribote recorded their second home loss to ABS FC of Ilorin. Sala Abiodun put the visitors in front in the 85th minutes and they were able to survive the pressure even a penalty miss by Nembe City. Meanwhile the club proprietor and chairman of ABS FC Senator Saraki has sent a goodwill message to the boys describing the victory as "a very good result" The Saraki Boys have also lost at home by 2goals to three this term to tables toppers Kano Pillars.
