[AM Message] Colossians 4:10-13_ Epaphras heard the gospel and didnt keep it to himself... He shared it. He started the first church in Colosse. But within a short while, the church is divided. It is being pulled in different directions... By Greeks obsessed with philosophy. By Jews obsessed with the Law. By Pagans obsessed with all sorts of things! So, Epaphras asked Paul for help. Epaphras was 3 things... 1) He was a person who PULLED_ With all this diversity within the church, Epaphras was pulling them all together. How can you pull? Pulling people into the church. Pulling the people on the fringe of the church in. Pulling the church together. 2) He was a person who PRAYED_ Epaphras prayed all the time. The disciples didnt ask Jesus to teach them HOW to pray... they wanted/needed Jesus to teach them TO pray. Epaphras prayed fervently. He wrestled with prayer. Epaphras prayed deliberately. 3) He was a person who was PASSIONATE_ He was stirred up. He had a passion for the people around him. Passion comes from the heart of God. Its about valuing people & seeing them how God sees them. We need to be Pullers, Pray-ers & Passionate. We need to be like Epaphras.
