***AN OPEN LETTER TO MY FELLOW LAUGHLIN BUZZERS*** Some of you may be aware that there was a little online confrontation between myself and another member of the Laughlin Buzz group, whose name I wont mention in this post. The squabble was silly and over the pettiest issue. The other member had exercised ones inalienable right to make a somewhat negative comment about an upcoming local event and I, in turn, exercised my own right to suggest to that person that there was no need to be negative. I then went on to post my own POSITIVE thoughts about the same subject. Obviously my mere suggestion that the negativity wasnt necessary struck the wrong chord with the person who made the comment, because the persons comment, and my response to it, escalated into an ugly....and totally UNNECESSARY....war of words. Its understandable that the comment war, although far from rare in the crazy (and often WAY TOO passionate) world of social media, upset a few members of this group, and I will be the first to admit that the squabble was not the kind of POSITIVE dialogue and discussion that we normally desire....and embrace....here. While I do not apologize for WHAT I said (and, rather stand by it fully) I DO deeply apologize for subjecting this otherwise light and lively group to the uncomfortable drama that resulted from what was little more than an unfortunate petty schoolyard fight (even though there are probably a few of you out there that enjoyed it a little)! The posts related to this silly conflict have been removed by the groups administrator, to be, hopefully, forgotten and relegated to little more than a few dozen kilobytes of cached Facebook data, waiting to re-emerge at the first sign of a lawsuit! At the risk of sounding like an annoying customer service representative, I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and offer up this latest T-shirt design of mine as an olive branch to all!
